Product Details: This is an authentic Kagura-suzu, a sacred handbell used in Japanese Shinto rituals. These bells are specifically used by Shrine Maidens (Miko) during "Kagura" ceremonial dances to invoke and entertain the deities.

  • Design: The bells are arranged in three tiers (typically 3, 5, and 7 bells), representing a wish for abundance.

  • Handle: Features a vibrant vermilion (red) lacquered handle with decorative metal fittings at both ends.

  • Material: Brass/Bronze bells with a wooden handle.

Condition: This is a vintage item with a beautiful aged patina on the brass bells. The lacquer on the handle remains in good condition with minor signs of use. The bells produce a clear, bright sound when shaken.
