Authentic antique Japanese Samurai/police iron truncheon (Jitte / 十手) dating from the Edo period. Features a heavy faceted/octagonal iron shaft with an integral sword-breaker hook (Kagi), a rayskin-wrapped handle (Samegawa), and an iron pommel loop fitted with a braided orange tassel cord (Himo). Authentic antique condition with honest age patina and surface rust; rayskin wrap and iron structure remain solid and intact. A classic Edo-period law enforcement weapon for martial arts and militaria collectors. The item is used and has age-related signs of wear. Please assess the condition based on the pictures.
